CONFINEMENT

Confinement is a choice, or fate.

We can choose confinement

imprison ourselves with uncertainty

hold ourselves back with fear.

Loneliness is a prison

confining us to ourselves

not allowing our gifts.

We shake uncontrollably,

lose our breath

and yet dare to open the door.

Walk away,

it cannot follow.
